Quietmusic Celebrates 15 Years

by Quietmusic on Nov.15, 2009, under Podcast

The first Quietmusic program on KYOT aired on Sunday November 13, 1994. 15 years and 780 programs later, here’s another one. I cannot completely and comprehensively express the gratitude I feel to those who have listened to the program on a regular basis; to the many managers and staff members at KYOT for keeping the program on the air through the years; to the sponsors and advertisers who have supported the show; to the programmers around the country who carried the show in syndication, to my friends at WestStar for distributing the program far and wide around North America; and to the faithful fans of this program who have contacted and emailed me with their love, encouragement, and appreciation.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Here’s Hour Two from this morning’s broadcast:

Happy anniversary, Nick. I have only been a listener since 2000 – liked it then, love it now. We only communicate a couple a time per year, but I feel like I am having coffee with a good friend each Sunday morning when I listen to Quietmusic. Keep up the good work. With a little luck and support, I hope we can all celebrate the 30th anniversary of the show.

Thanks Kevin. Reaching 30 years would indeed be a milestone; let's see what
    happens.

I've faithfully listened to your program since I accidentally discovered it just 6 months ago. It has been so inspirational. When you played Pat Metheny's As Falls Wichita, I was in awe! I sat by my stereo like a child glued to the television. And I have the pleasure of listening to it again here! Thank you for all your hard work. I hope you know what a difference you are making. Here's to another 15 years to come!

Congratulations Nickon 15 years! I first stumbled onto Quietmusic around 2001 on Live 365.com. I was instantly hooked. I hope for many years of Quietmusic to come
